Michael M. Grant, PhD, MBA
Dr. Michael Grant is a licensed Clinical Psychologist (VA# 0810007667 and SC #1071) whose work over the past 20+ years has included direct provision of behavioral healthcare services in both private solo and group practice settings and within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) at Northport VAMC in Northport, NY. Dr. Grant currently operates a practice of clinical psychology in Charlottesville, VA where he sees adult clients of all ages for assessments, therapy, and a variety of different types of consultation.
He is a Diplomate of The Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy and has published a number of original research and healthcare/psychology publications in peer-reviewed journals such as Biological Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Journal of Family Practice, and an invited entry on the Beck Anxiety Inventory for children in The Encyclopedia of Child Behavior and Development.
Dr. Grant has also worked with Fortune 500, governmental, and non-profit organizations and published a number of articles about his work in business magazines and related journals such as Leadership Excellence, Supervision, Human Resource Planning, Executive Excellence, and People Management.
He earned his MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Georgia State University, his MBA from the University of Colorado, Denver, and has other graduate degrees in other fields of study. When not working as a clinical psychologist or organizational consultant, he loves designing and creating custom-made furniture, blacksmiths and creates custom wrought iron elements for home and garden, and is a potter. He enjoys taking broken and old things and bringing them back to life. He takes great pleasure in learning languages and speaks the following at these CEFR levels (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages): English C2; Spanish B1; French A2/B1; Italian A2.
